Paraná negotiates Volkswagen factory expansion

The Paraná Government began negotiating with Volkswagen to expand the automaker's factory in the State, reported today the Governor of Paraná, Beto Richa (PSDB).
Besides the possibility of expansion in the industrial complex of Vw in São José dos Pinhais, where models are produced Fox, CrossFox SpaceFox, and Golf, the Governor confirmed that are trying to attract other automakers to Paraná.
"We already have four automakers being negotiated with the State, but I cannot anticipate what are," said Governor to journalists, after participating in the ceremony that celebrated the expansion of capacity of the Renault factory in Parana in 100 thousand cars per year.
This week, executives from Volkswagen in Brazil confirmed that the group is close to making a decision about the return of production of Audi cars – one of the brands of its portfolio – at the factory of São José dos Pinhais. The plan was confirmed by the array of Audi in Germany last week.
The President of the brand in Brazil, Leandro Radomile said on Monday that a definition on this investment can leave until the end of next month.
Volkswagen has always had difficulty negotiating with Steelworkers Union of manufactures paranaense, but the unit returned to the automaker's investment radar after an agreement, closed in September, which has now made labor relations.
