Bob's owner buys largest franch from Pizza Hut in Brazil

Controlling the Bob's and Yoggi networks, Brazil Fast Food Corporation (BFFC) closed the purchase of 100% of the international restaurants of Brazil (IRB), the largest owner of Pizza Hut franchises in the country. The group already had 60% of the company and now acquired the 40% belonging to the other partners. The value of the operation has not been revealed. The business is part of the strategy of strengthening the BFFC's own asset arm, which also includes KFC stores. The goal is in five years to double the total of its own points of sale, to 350, according to Ricardo Bomeny, president of the holding company. The expected investment is R $200 million. The amount to be invested is part of the investment plan of R $1 billion up to 2023, of the group with its franchados. Reported in September last year by the state, the strategy should raise the total points of sale of BFFC from 1,145 to about 1,600. The BFFC's own asset unit encompasses 153 restaurants managed directly by the group, with Equity. In addition to Bob's stores, the list includes KFC's own franchises and Pizza Hut – American Yum brands! Brands, which has as a master Frangang in Brazil the Sforza group. The own asset division today accounts for 30% of the BFFC revenue, from R $1.5 billion in 2018. "We believe that there is plenty of room to maximize and grow faster in this business," Bomeny says. The unit of Franchados assets, in turn, takes care of brand management and supports the franchados of the brands Bob's and Yoggi. They are responsible for investing in their own stores. Altogether there are 992 franchises under this division. The strategy of creating two separate holdings was born when the BFFC closed capital in the United States in 2015. Rio — São Paulo The expansion of the unit of own assets will be concentrated in the Rio-São Paulo axis. The 42 Pizza Hut stores belonging to the IRB are in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. With the purchase of the company, BFFC's own business holding will now be under the command of Jorge Aguirre. A veteran of the food industry, the entrepreneur was partner of IRB and took care for two decades of the brand Pizza Hut in Greater São Paulo. In 2019, the BFFC plan is to open another 20 stores of its own. In São Paulo, only in the Bob's brand, the company went from nine own sales outlets, in June 2018, to 39 in less than a year. By December there will be 11 more stores in the state, plus three in Rio. "The BFFC has plans to inaugurate this year plus three points of sale of Pizza Hut, two in São Paulo and one in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, and four of the KFC in Rio", complements Bomeny.
