Brazil can save R $144 million a year on remedies with agreement between Mercosur and EU, says entity

The free trade agreement that MERCOSUR and the European Union (EU) signed at the end of June could mean for Brazil an annual economy of R $144 million in the importation of remedies, according to the Association of the Pharmaceutical Research Industry (INTERFARMA). "Brazil imports R $3.6 billion in medicines from Europe. By half, it pays an import rate of 8% and, with its reduction to zero, the country could save R $144 million ", explained to the agency EFE the Interfarma.
