Retail prepares promotions for Mother's Day

GPA, which controls the Extra nets and Sugar Loaf, provides an increase of 300% in the volume of purchases of flowers in pots, packs and bouquets in May, on account of Mother's Day. For 2019, the company predicts an 8% growth in the turnover of the category of gardening items, compared to the same period last year. In the stores of the Extra nets and Sugar Loaf, the most sought-after flowers to honor the mothers are orchids, tulips, violets and kalanchoes. For the third consecutive year, Extra will also promote, until Friday (10), Pink Friday. The event has advance purchase offers in the application of the club Extra loyalty program and in the food e-commerce. The discounts, up to 30%, are for the categories of electro, bazaar and Grocery. SP Malls Start promotional campaigns The Frei Caneca Shopping Mall carries out the campaign "Amar is a Journey", focused on Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. The promotion takes place until June 16th, will draw R $120,000 in prizes and will contemplate six winners, with travel vouchers worth R $20000 each. Every R $250 in purchases, the customer earns a coupon to participate. The SP Market Mall, in turn, will give 50% discount on Pashminas for purchases worth R $200. At the Fiesta Mall, consumers who make purchases of R $100 will earn coupons to compete for the draw of four shopping vouchers and a travel voucher. Industry fosters commemorative date on TV Nestle's Nest brand also presents its campaign for Mother's Day. Signed by Publicis, the film tells stories of mothers considered exemplary, as women who have created children with physical disabilities or who suffer bullying. According to the company, the goal is to promote a reflection on respect for people's identity. The hashtag "#amorquedeixaser" signs the film, which will be broadcast throughout Latin America from today (07). The initiative has a film for open TV and minidocumentaries of three minutes to the Internet.
