Demand for credit grows 1.5% in April, with no signs of acceleration

Consumer credit demand grew 1.5% in April compared to March, according to national data from Boa Vista, which will be released on Tuesday, 28. In the annual comparison, the expansion is more expressive: an increase of 10.4%. However, the high in the accumulated of the last twelve months, of 3.7%, indicates constant pace since 2018. The number signals that the demand for credit has not shown signs of acceleration, much because of the weak growth of the economy.
