Kinea buys part of the Panvel network

Kinea Investimentos bought 90% of the position of IP Capital Partners in Dimed, the holding gaúcha owner of the Panvel drugstores. The privately conducted transaction leaves Kinea with 8.13% of the ONs and 32.58% of Dimed's PNs, which equals 10.56% of total capital. If made to market values, the transaction would have moved around R $200 million. Controlled by the families Mottin, Weber and Pizzatto, Panvel has 450 subsidiaries in RS, SC, PR and SP. The investment in Dimed was made by Kinea IV, a fund with R $1.5 billion in committed capital. With the transaction, the fund has already invested 40% of the capital. IP, a Carioca manager, was a shareholder of Dimed for 19 years and obtained an internal rate of annualized return of 25% with the investment, according to the manager.
