Estrella Galicia Invests R $100 Mi in brewery in the country

The Spanish brewery Estrella Galicia announced this week, a R $100,000,000 investment plan for installation of a brewery in Poços de Caldas (MG). The unit is the first company outside of Spain. The plant will have capacity to produce 20 million liters of beverages a year and will generate 100 direct jobs in the country. In addition, according to the company, the site will produce drinks for the Brazil and, later, you will be able to supply other countries in Latin America. In South America, the Estrella Galicia operates in Uruguay, in Argentina, in Ecuador and Chile. The company has not reported what beer labels intends to manufacture in Brazil, won''t nationalize the filling of water. Currently, the company has branches in Brazil, China, Japan, the Philippines, in the United States and in Portugal. In 2016, with global revenues of EUR 408 million, 12.7% higher than in 2015. Profit grew 18 percent, to 49 million euros. Beer production increased 16.2% to 237 million liters.
