Nielsen: atacarejo consumption grows among families that recovered income

SÃO PAULO-atacarejo networks won new customers in the midst of the crisis, but must not lose sales with the economic recovery, according to the Nielsen rating. According to study, spending in atacarejo grow in households that already showed some recovery of employment and income.
The Nielsen study was presented during Brazilian Association of self-service Wholesalers (Abaas). According to the survey, a total of 10.6 million households considered as "out of the crisis" raises on average in 20% in spending atacarejo.
For Daniela Toledo, Director of Nielsen, the data show that the change in behavior of the Brazilian consumers should not be reversed with economic recovery. It is possible that some recipe available will be destined to other types of non-foods.
The survey also highlights that the atacarejo is attended by families who had no job loss as a result of the crisis. In such cases, the average expenditure for buying reaches R $142 R $134 of average brazilian against.
