Decreases the PET recycling in the U.S.

Not always the sum of wealth with environmental awareness gives a green balance. Speaks for itself the frustration emanating by the PET post-consumer recovered balance in 2016 in the largest market on the planet, compiled by two representations of weight on polyester chain: The National Association for PET Container Resources and Association of Plastic Recyclers. The results show that the rate of total marketed recycling PET bottles fell from 30.1% in 2015 to 28.4% last year. In: American consumption volumes amounted to 2.8 million tonnes mark in 2016 2.708 billion in 2015 and 2.653 billion versus in 2014, as data crossed by two entities. In contrast, the total post-consumer recycled PET confined itself to 794,000 tonnes in 2016 against respective 821,000 and 812,000 tons in the two previous periods. As was reported, the small percentage of PET recovered has parallel only in the year 2009.
