Father''s day does not prevent fall of Trade

According to Serasa Experian Indicator of Trade activity, there was 0.9% retracement in retail activity in the country during the month of August/16 (in comparison with July/16), already discounted seasonal effects. In comparison with the same month last year (Aug/15), there was a 5.7% retracement in the consumer movement. Although it was the 13th consecutive drop this criterion of comparison, was the smallest of the last 11 months. Year to date, that is, until August of 2016, the retail trade registers fall of 7.9% to the same period last year.
Construction Material segment and Supermarkets Had Less Recoil
All categories surveyed registered retailer activity in August indent/16. The largest of them was the fall of 3.4% in the segment of vehicles, motorcycles and parts. The mobile sector, consumer electronics and computer equipment retreated 2.2 percent and clothing and footwear fabrics fell 1.3 percent, the same percentage of fall observed by the segment of fuels and lubricants. The smallest retractions in August/16 occurred in the segment of building material ( -0.3%) and if supermarkets, hypermarkets, food and beverages ( -0.4%).
