Building Material retail Grows 8%

According to the monthly survey Anamaco (National Association of traders of Construction materials), in the months of May to August of 2016, building material retailers have performed 8% recorded in the same period in 2015. The study heard 530 tenants from all regions of the country from 24 to 30 August. The margin of error is 4.3%. According to research, in August the industry had 9% retracement, index that was 2% higher than that recorded in the same month of last year. Year to date, the sector presents fall of 5% with respect to the same period in 2015 and, in the past 12 months, the fall is 7%.
Expected to close the year with a high of 3 to 5% according to the President of Anamaco, Claudius Conz, the expectation is that the principal building material retail end the year with a growth of 3 to 5% of the revenues of R$ 115 billion registered in 2015. About 54% of retailers who participated in the survey showed optimism with the actions of the Government in the next 12 months and 64% of the respondents believe that recover part of sales already in the month of September. Anamaco''s research also indicated that the southern region was the one that stood out in the month of August, with 8% growth in sales.
