Breweries will reduce production in Brazil in August over a year earlier

The production of beer in Brazil in August fell by about 1 percent over the same period last year, but has advanced almost 13% in comparison with July, according to figures released on Thursday (1) by the IRS.
The industry produced 10,856,000 hectoliters of beer last month compared with 10,977,000 in the same period last year and 9,600,000 in July.
With that, in the first two months of the third quarter, the industry has 1.6% drop in volume produced over the same period last year, the 20,500,000 hectolitres.
Production of soft drinks
Production of soft drinks was $ 11,538,000 hectoliters in August, a fall of about 2 percent over the same month of 2015, but advancement of 14.5% compared with July.
In the quarter, the soft drink industry has found a 21,600,000 hectolitres production, fall of about 4% over the months of July and August of last year.
