AB Inbev purchase handmade Belgian brewery Bosteels

São Paulo – the acquisition of Belgian-brazilian Inbev seems to have no end. Now it was the turn of century-old Belgian brewery Bosteels be bought for an undisclosed amount.
The newly acquired is the manufacturer of handcrafted beers Tripel Karmeliet, Kwak and God, created by the family for seven generations, Bosteels in control of the company.

"Out of respect for the tradition of brands, will follow in the town of Buggenhout, in Belgium, where they were produced," AB Inbev said in a statement.
The terms of the deal have not been confirmed, but the estimate is that the AB Inbev has disbursed 200,000,000 euros in the transaction. Heineken would have lost the match.
The purchase is more of a series of acquisitions of craft beers that have been made by AB Inveb in recent years, the growth of the life segment in the world – only the United States, the drinks already represent 17% of the whole market.
In Brazil, the two largest purchases were of the brands Wäls and Colorado, in February and July 2015, respectively.
While investing in increased portfolio of craft, the AB Inbev awaits the conclusion of the third-largest deal in the history of the world in value: the acquisition of SAB Miller by 79 billion pounds.
