Cold helped Marisa''s sales in June

Marisa clothing retailer reported to be prepared to receive the summer collection, which arrives in stores from this Thursday. Janaina Machado, Director of purchases of Marisa, said the company has made his winter settlement and achieved good sales results in the second quarter of the year. "The sale of winter was very good. The weeks of cold in June helped a lot. We arrived in July with few things to settle, "said the Director.
The company performs from last year a series of actions to recover sales. Last year, in the same period, came to make settlements more heavy to reduce inventories.
The retailer focuses on women and on class C and the rigid control of expenditure, with forecast annual savings of R$ generate 110,000,000.
Geete said the summer collection have more fabric and jeans products produced in the country, to replace part of the use of wovens (inelastic), which are imported and cost. The Director also reported that the clothes were inspired in Cuba and will be more colorful, with floral prints, foliage, among others. The collection will have shorter models and fair in comparison to last year''s summer fashion.
The substitution of imported raw materials for domestic fabrics is one of the strategies adopted by the overall clothing companies to reduce costs.
Last year, Marisa reported that planned to take advantage of recognition in the area of lingerie to improve the mix of products with higher value added lines. Geete said the rent-heads will be the lines of jeans and fashion. "The company made a specific collection for the 100 shops focused on lingerie, as glamorous models," he said.
Marisa''s shares closed trading on the BM & FBovespa yesterday at an all-time high of 3.6%, R$ quoted at 8.05. In the year, the papers still accumulate a fall of 65.9%.
