According to the Ministry of development, industry and foreign trade (MDIC), in May the Brazil imported $ $38,9 million in dairy products.
Compared with April this year the purchases had increased to 4.5%. However, the reduced volume and increased from 12.0 million tons imported in April to 11.7 million tons in May.
The most imported product was powdered milk, which totaled 8.0 million tons and $ $24,0 million in May. The leading supplier of dairy products to Brazil, in value, were the Uruguay (45.9%), Argentina (36.3%) and the United States (6.6%).
