Olive oil may get dearer this year

The crop failure of olives for the production of olive oil in Spain this year will bring repercussions for the Brazilian market. The Iberian country is responsible for 45% of world production of fruit. That's what says Félix Boeing Jr., Director General of La Violetera fruit Importer, who had recently been in the region of Andalusia, where are the largest producers and industries in the business.
According to the Executive, the production of olive oil has a quality inferior to previous years and low availability. "Certainly there will be consequences to the national market but we will ensure quality and competitive prices of our products," he says.
The importer of Fruits La Violetera is estimated to grow at least 15 percent in sales this year.
