Bob's owner expands sales and profit grow 21% in Q2

SÃO PAULO-Brazil Fast Food restaurants, Bob's and Pizza Hut, strengthened sales and managed to raise in 21% net profit achieved in the second quarter, ended June 30. The gains went from r $ 3.6 million to $ 4.4 million in annual bases.
Net revenue totaled r $ 57 million from April to June, 14% higher than the r $ 50 million recorded a year earlier. The turnover in restaurants operated by the company itself rose 14.5% in the range, to $ 46.1 million. In franchises, revenues rose 12.4% and reached r $ 10.9 million.
According to the company, the increase in sales was attributed to the Confederations Cup, which brought a large number of tourists to six metropolitan areas of the country. Despite this, Brazil Fast Food reported that the protests in June had a negative impact, because it forced the shops to close earlier than common for security reasons.
Operating profit advanced 25.3% in the quarter compared to the same period of the previous year, to $ 6.3 million.
In addition to the marks Bob's and Pizza Hut, the company also operates the KFC restaurants (fried chicken), Doggis (Chilean hot dogs franchise) and Yoggi, yogurts.
