Imported beers grew 68% last year

The market for imported beers grew 68% last year, according to a survey of company Product Audit. The main reason is the growing interest of the Brazilian for the drink. According to manufacturers, consumers are more interested in information about the product, such as harmonization and differentials of each type.
For Carlos Rodrigo Abar, Director of the company, the special imported beers segment has great potential to continue advancing. Today, he represents 0.4% of the total market of beer in Brazil, with 53.8 million liters/year. In the United States, this share is 13%.
It is expected that the market will be stable this year.
