Industry confidence grows 8.4 points in August preview

The Industry Confidence Index grew 8.4 points in the August preview, compared to the late July number. With the result, confidence reached 98.2 points, on a scale from zero to 200, according to data from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), released on Thursday (20), in Rio de Janeiro. The confidence of entrepreneurs at the present time grew 8.1 points and reached 97.2 points. The expectation of entrepreneurs advanced 8.8 points and reached 99.3 points. The preliminary result shows that the Level of Utilization of Installed Capacity of industry rose to 75.4%, 3.1 percentage points above the July result.
