GDP preview indicates economic activity growth in May

The preview of GDP (Gross Domestic Product), which is the sum of all goods and services produced by the country, recorded economic activity growth in May, according to the IBC-Br (Economic Activity Index), released by the BC (Central Bank) on Tuesday (14).
The IBC-Br grew by 1.31% in the month. By April, the indicator had plummeted (-9.73%) due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The financial market forecast that economic activity will shrink by 6.1% in 2020.
