Scania inaugurates plant in concept of fourth industrial revolution (4.0)

Scania inaugurates next Tuesday, day 28, a new factory of welding booths, dedicated exclusively to produce the new generation of the company's trucks. The unit, in São Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo, applies the concept of 4.0 industry, considered the fourth industrial revolution, include automation technologies and information, such as artificial intelligence. Scania's investment in the new plant was R $340 million in the last three years. The biggest news is the laser welding technology made exclusively by robots, which add up to 75. The factory's technical capacity to produce up to 25000 cabs a year in 19 different models.
