PayPal makes deal to buy European startup iZettle, for $ $2.2 billion.

PayPal closed deal to buy the iZettle, one of the best-known financial technology startups in Europe, for $ $2.2 billion, the companies announced on Thursday (17). The agreement will allow the PayPal expand your presence in payments in physical stores worldwide and will mark the largest purchase ever made by the U.S. company. The iZettle, best known for the offer of payment machines for small traders, has among the rivals the American Square, founded by Chief Executive of Twitter, Jack Dorsey. The iZettle, based in Stockholm, is present in 11 countries, including Brazil, and offers other services to small businesses as loans. Before the acquisition, the company had advanced plans to open stock exchange capital.
