Sales in pharmacies in Brazil more than 10% grow in value until April, but retreat in volume

Sales at pharmacies in Brazil grew 10.8% in value in the last 12 months to April compared with the previous range, according to a survey conducted by QuintilesIMS. However, if considered the volume of drugs sold there was no retraction of 1.5% over the same period. One of the reasons for this result was higher prices for medicines, as the Brazilian Federation of Associative and independent Networks of Pharmacies (Febrafar).
