Cargill acquires the polyols and strengthens operations in renewable chemicals

New York, 16/5-the trading of grain, Cargill announced have bought a number of plant-based polyols of BioBased Technologies, reinforcing your arm renewable chemistry. Polyols, chemical compounds formed from legumes such as soy oils, are used to replace oil in foams for products ranging from mattresses to car seats.
Large crops around the world have made agricultural sector groups and food processors like Cargill seek new uses for agricultural products in industrial and consumer goods.
The acquisition will allow Cargill "meet new clients and other markets," said Eric Kuckhoff, General Manager of Cargill Industrial Specialties in North America.
