Anvisa prohibits sale of ground black pepper

São Paulo – the national agency of sanitary surveillance (Anvisa) banned the distribution and sales across the country of a black pepper ground manufactured by Alheiro Products Ltd., after finding the rodent in the sauce.
According to Anvisa, the company collected the batch product 03, manufactured in March 1, 2016, which had expiry date to December 2019.
After the voluntary recall by the company, the Agency banned the distribution and sale of spice and ordered the withdrawal of all the existing stock on the market.

"All our products present a report of their conformity in accordance with the laws in force and undergo a rigorous selection process, to guarantee our customers the quality of the product offered," said the company.
