JBS has 694 mi R$ profit in Q4

JBS had net profit of 694 million R$ for the fourth quarter of 2016, reversing negative result suffered a year earlier, reported the largest beef processor in the world on Monday (13/3).
In comparison with the third quarter of last year, however, net income for the last three months of 2016 fell 21.8 percent. The company showed cash generation as measured by earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) adjusted R$ 3.1 billion in the fourth quarter, 0.6% below the result a year earlier and 1% less than in the third quarter of 2016.
Analysts had expected an average net profit of 844 million R$ for the fourth quarter, and Ebitda of 3.4 billion R$. The balance was released shortly after the company announced the purchase JBS of American pork products by 230 million dollars Plumrose.
JBS had net revenues of R$ 41.63 billion in the fourth quarter, a fall of 11.7% over the same period to 2015. In comparison with the third quarter, sales rose 1.1%.
