Coop will invest 91 million R$ in 2017

Coop-cooperative of consumption presented on Friday (10/3) the social and financial results for the year 2016 and announced investments in the order of R$ 91 million for this year. Last year the retailer, which has 29 units in the greater ABC and São Paulo, registered gross sales of R$ billion, a nominal growth in 2,125 7.3% compared to the previous year. According to the Chief Executive Marcio Valle, the Coop will apply during 2017 the value of 40 million R$ in reforms and modernisation of four stores; R$ 34 million in new stores and drugstores, as well as 17 million R$ in furniture and information technology.

"Although 2016 has been marked by political and economic problems, high unemployment, the Coop was able to maintain a satisfactory financial result thanks to cost-containment measures and investments in the modernization of the system of cold feed which reduced energy expenditure," said Valle.

The cooperative also invested in integral reform of five stores, opened the first drugstore in the city of Sorocaba (SP) and launched the Autocaixa, which gives autonomy to the consumers themselves register and pay for your purchases. In addition, it was deploying the service Coop, which guarantees customers the convenience to conduct your purchases through the internet during previously scheduled.
