The Procon Reef conducted a survey in pharmacies of the city and found a wide disparity in prices varying according to the establishment and the brand of the product. Among the 29 verified reference medicinal products, the values came to have a difference of 324.8%; while among the generic 29 surveyed the variation was up 345.4%. The research has also indicated that the generic on average are 50% cheaper in relation to "brand".
