Participation of cards in sales reached 33.3% in 2015

The participation of cards in retail revenues increased from 32.5% to 33.3% between 2014 and 2015, and grew up just a portion of the sales made with debit cards, while the credit card was stable.
The numbers are part of a study of the Trade Federation, goods, services and tourism of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP) and indicate that nominal retail sales should have reached R$ 1.394 trillion in 2015-high of 3.2% compared to 2014.
Last year, according to data from the Brazilian Association of credit card companies and services (Abecs), the billing of cards in Brazil reached R$ 1.065 trillion, nominal growth of 8.9% before 2014. Credit cards reached 665 billion R$ (7.7%), high debt, and 400 billion R$ (11%).
