Natura has a net income of R$90,9 mi in 2nd tri

SAO PAULO-the manufacturer of Natural beauty products had net income of 90,900,000 dollars in the second quarter, 22% ante drop same step last year.
International operations accounted for increasing contribution again, with net sales growing segment 24,9%, to 649,500,000 reais.
The Vice President of finance at Natura, José Roberto Dragos, highlighted the result of gross revenue in operations in Brazil, which broke a string of six straight declines.
In a teleconference with journalists, he said that June was the best month of the quarter.
Despite the high of 1,2% of gross revenue, net revenue from operations in Brazil fell 2,3%, to 1.376 billion reais.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) was consolidated to 344,700,000 reais, 3,5% drop year over year, pressed by operations in Brazil.
While international operations Ebitda (Pro forma) grew 43,3%, to 73,800,000 reais, the Ebitda of the operations in the country (Pro forma) fell 11,4% to 270,900,000 reais. The Ebitda margin increased from 18.5 to 17%, also compared to the previous year.
Gross margin stood at 68,5%, compared with 69,4% a year earlier. Dragos said the indicator was impacted by the exchange rate and the tax burden.
The operating expenses in Brazil fell 0,6% to the second quarter of 2015 but soared in relation to net sales, to 38,3% against 37,7% a year earlier, as the company continued marketing investments.
In relation to the exchange rate, the Executive said that the company''s premise is that the dollar stay in the range of 3.40 to 3.50 by the end of the year.
NEW STORES
Natura kept investment forecast of 350,000,000 dollars for the year, but the company has been more selective allocation decisions of these resources, said the Executive, focusing mainly on the opening of shops and sales.
Second, Dragos Natura should close the year with 4 to 5 physical stores. In April, the first unit was opened in the Morumbi Shopping, in São Paulo. In August it is planned the debut of another in shopping Villa Lobos in São Paulo.
He said three others have already been mapped and are nearing completion, but gave no details about the location. In relation to the first unit, Dragos said sales are well above expectations.
Natura also does not rule out new partnerships in the pharmaceutical channel with the expansion plan contemplating entering other networks next year, according to the Executive. "We''re (going) to the Drogasil Streak, but we have no exclusivity," he said.
The company closed June with 1.86 million consultants against 1.81 million a year earlier, while the product units for resale decreased to 116,900,000 before 120,300,000.
