Asahi announces agreement to buy the brands Peroni and Grolsch

The Japanese group Asahi beverage Group announced the signing of an agreement with AB InBev, Belgian and Brazilian capital, to buy two Italian brands Peroni and Grolsch''s Dutch of SABMiller.
Asahi did not announce the value, but the AB Inbev was quoted in February an offer of 2.55 billion euros ($ D 2.88 billion).
The transaction will take place on the same day of purchase of the SABMiller for AB InBev, which was announced in November last year, the value of 112 billion euros ($ 126.5 billion), that is, one of the largest acquisitions in history.
But the AB InBev has to give up European brands to reassure the competition authorities, worried about a possible position in the market domain.
The Belgian-Brazilian capital group had announced in February have received an offer from Asahi to buy Peroni and Grolsch. The British brand Meantime is also in the group must buy.
The Asahi group gets only 10% of its turnover abroad and, therefore, are exposed to the risks of contraction in Japan, country of declining population and high age.
For this reason, seeking opportunities in other markets. In recent years held acquisitions in Asia and Oceania, but now looking for opportunities in other continents.
