February index percentage of checks returned is 2.22%

The number of returned checks as a proportion of the total number of checks handled 2.22% recorded in February 2016, against the result of 2.35% in the previous month. The indicator presented in comparison with February of the previous year, when there were registered 2.15%, according to Boa Vista SPC. Cheques returned 2.1 percent on a monthly comparison fell back, while the checks moved high 3.9% registered, which contributed to the fall of the percentage in the period. In the quarter, the percentage of returned checks amounted to 2.29% moved over. On the same basis of comparison, the percentage of this month is the biggest historical series, initiated in 2006.
