Categories of cookies, pasta, breads and cakes are closed with revenues of 2015 industrial R$ 35.4 billion

In 2015, the categories represented by the Brazilian Association of industries of cookies, pasta and breads & Cakes (ABIMAPI) recorded Industrial growth of 5.4% in the joints billing about 2014, reaching 35.4 billion R$. This was driven primarily by cookies (7.1%), with revenues of $ 21 billion, followed by bread and cakes (3.4%), with $ 6 billion, and pasta (2.8%), with 8.3 billion R$.
In volume, the sector remained stable – with about of 3.5 million tonnes traded. The consumption per capitatambém was virtually unchanged, at 17 kg/year.

"With the rise of the dollar, the cost of production has skyrocketed. In the masses, industrialized breads and cakes, wheat flour responds for about 70% of the costs. In the cookies, the weight is 40%, "he says.
Cookies
The biscuit industry moved $ 21 billion in 2015, registering growth of 7.1% compared to revenues of 2014. As well as the industry in whole, this category has shown stability in relation to the volume – keeping 1.7 million tonnes-and per capita consumption, with 8.5 kg/year.
The most consumed by Brazilians in 2015 were the stuffed (454.262 1000 tons), followed by water and salt crackers/saltines (361.426 1000 tons) and the dry/sweet special (273.780 1000 tons).
"The cookies require innovation to win over consumers. Some manufacturers have enriched their products with vitamins, fiber or cereals and grew up in 2015, winning the class A and B have not been much affected by the crisis. Already the classes C, D and e are still responsible for the high-volume consumption of the product. These were factors that contributed to the development of the category, "says Zanão.
Pasta
The pasta sector recorded an increase of 2.8% on turnover of 2015 about 2014, reaching 8.2 billion R$. The growth was driven mainly by the categories of dry pasta (3.8%) and instant (2.2%) with revenues of $ 5 billion and 2.6 billion R$, respectively. The market for fresh pasta made 650 million R$. In volume and per capita consumption, the industry remained stable, with 1.26 million tons sold in the year and 6.17 kg/year.
Industrialized breads and cakes
The segment of breads and cakes in 2015 industrial turnover of r $ 6 billion, 3.4% higher than the number in 2014.
Industrialized breads industry went from 4.95 billion R$ in 2014 to 5.18 billion R$ turnover in 2015. The category presented a growth of 4.8% compared to the previous year. The sales volume reached 463.3 1000 tons and per capita consumption was 2.27 kg/year.
Industrialized cakes market went from 888 million R$ revenues in 2014 to R$ 851 million in 2015. The total volume reached 37.3 1000 tons and per capita consumption stood at 0.18 kg/year.
