All price categories of medicines increases 12.5%

In the official note, the Interfarma reported that, from the day March 31, all medicines marketed in Brazil will suffer an increase of 12.5%, as determined by the Board of market regulation of Medicines. For the first time in ten years, the index is below inflation. Another new feature is that, unlike previous years, when they were defined three different percentages of increase, considering the participation of generics in each category of medicine, this time the rate increase will be the same for all categories. The primary motivation for this was the industry''s productivity index, which this year was negative.
