Building Retail Sales Were Stable, Says Anamaco

Retail sales of construction materials remained stable in the first five months of the year, in comparison with the same period last year. Already the month of may presented fall of 2% over April and 7% on may 2014. The retraction in the month, however, occurred in only three regions: Nordeste ( -3%), South ( -5%) and Southeast ( -3%). In the North and Midwest there was growth of 11% and 4% respectively. The data were released by the Research Institute of Anamaco University with the support of the Chrysotile Institute, Brazil Abrafati Anfacer, Afeal and Siamfesp.
