Sale of medicines registers increased 9.29 percent in July compared to the previous month

Once again the medicines register increase in sales. According to data from IMS Health commissioned by the Brazilian Association of logistics and Distribution of pharmaceutical products (www.abradilan.com.br), only in July of this year, the number of units sold of medicines reached 274,898,803 units, showing an increase of 9.29% over the month June.
In comparison to the same period in the previous year this increase amounted to 6.38%. Already sold units of generic medicines arrived in 77,787,896, in the month of July 2014, showing a growth of 11.46% over the month of June and in comparison with the same month of the previous year, showed an increase of 11.80%.
According to Geraldo Monteiro, Executive Director of Abradilan, the entity today is responsible for the distribution of 19% of the units of medicines sold in the entire country. Their visit 85% of associates 136 cities, and meet 79% of 72.7 thousand pharmacies and drugstores from Brazil, and represent 24% in sales of generic drugs in Brazil.
