CLASS C LOSES PURCHASING POWER

Data from the CNC (National Confederation of Commerce) and the Popular Date pointed a slowdown of purchases in that slice of the population and increased indebtedness of the lower classes, in addition to larger price perspective and a tighter budget. According to the survey, 49% of respondents from the class C (subdivided into three subclasses, whose per capita incomes range from $ 320 to $ 1,120) claim that they can't buy today what they had purchased six months ago. The CNC also stated that 55.3% of families with income of up to five minimum wages were indebted, above the national average of 49.4%. To the track above ten, the percentage wages is 34.6%. In the lower range, 17.5% of households have accounts in arrears and 6.9% claim to be unable to enter them. (Folha de SP)
