Vehicle production back up 23.3% in June compared to may

The production of cars, light commercials, trucks and buses in Brazil totaled 215,934 units in June, down 23.3% in comparison with may and 33.3% indentation before June 2013, unveiled on Monday the National Association of Automotive vehicle manufacturers (Anfavea). As a result, the production builds up 16.8% retracement in the first six months of the year over the same period in 2013, to 1,566,049 units.
Considering only automobiles and light commercial, production in June came to 205,207, down 22.6% compared with may and indentation of 32.4% compared to June 2013. Last month, were produced 163,554 cars and light commercial 41,653.
The production of trucks totaled 8,192 units in June, down 35.5% compared with may and indentation of 49.3% compared to June 2013. In the case of buses, were produced 2,535 units in June, down from 25.2% in comparison with may and fall of 37.9% compared to the same month last year.
Sales of cars, light commercials, trucks and buses reached 263,564 units in June, with drop of 10.2% in comparison with may and indentation of 17.3% compared to June 2013. The accumulated from January to June this year, the plates issued reached 1,662,920 units, down 7.6% as compared to the same period last year.
Exports-according to the Anfavea, exports in the Brazilian automotive sector values totaled US $ 854,8 million in June, down 23.7% in comparison with may and indentation of 39.4% compared to June 2013. Shipments accumulated from January to June reached $ 6,005 billion, 23.1% drop compared to the same period in 2013. The values they consider exports of vehicles and agricultural machinery.
The month of June ended with 24,199 total light commercial cars, trucks and buses sold abroad, fall from 31.2% in comparison with may and retraction of 51.1% compared to June 2013. The accumulated from January to June this year were exported 169457 units of cars, light commercials, trucks and buses, indentation of 35.4% over same period in 2013.
Machines-domestic sales of agricultural machines wholesale reached 5,782 units in June, down 6% in comparison with may and 21.5% indentation before June 2013, according to the entity. Sales accumulate 20% retracement from January to June this year over the same period in 2013, to 32,901 units.
Production of agricultural machinery reached 5,854 units in June, down 23.2% in comparison with may and 29.7% indentation before June 2013. The production of agricultural machines has fallen 16.5 percent from January to June this year over the same period in 2013, to 40,407 units.
Exports of agricultural machines in values totaled $ 217,445 million in June, fall of 23.1% in comparison with may and indentation of 25.1% compared to June 2013. The export values fell 9.8% in accumulated from January to June this year compared to the same period last year, to $ 1,526 billion.
The total of agricultural machinery exported reached 1,215 units in June, down 14.9% in comparison with may and 0.2% indentation before June 2013. Agricultural machinery exports fell 6.3 percent in January to June this year compared to the same period last year, to 6,569 units. (AE) Journal of Commerce
