Samsung will produce new lines in Manaus

The South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung will strengthen this year its operation in Latin America, as part of the strategy to resume growth, after having presented sharp deceleration in profit for the fourth quarter of 2013. The company will bring to the Latin American market, until the end of March, new lines of tablet, ultradefinição TVs and appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines. In Brazil, the tablets and TVs will be produced in Manaus, said to Steve Lee, Chief Executive and President of Samsung for Latin America. Besides Manaus, Samsung has factory in Campinas (SP).
Lee stated that, depending on the evolution of demand, the company may make investments to expand its production capacity.
