M. Dias Branco inaugurates wheat flour mill in RS

With investment of R $300 million in construction, M. Dias Branco announced the inauguration of another flour mill in Rio Grande do Sul. This is the seventh Wheat Milling unit of the company. Located in Bento Gonçalves near the already installed Pasta factory and biscuits Isabela, which also belongs to the company, the brand Cearense expects to consolidate in the market of domestic and industrial flour. Today, M. Dias Branco is already a leader in pasta and biscuits. The Vice president of investments and controllership of the company, Geraldo Luciano, comments that the inauguration will allow the company to be self sufficient. "Currently about 92% of the flours used by M. Dias Branco are already produced in our mills. With the new wheat milling unit, we want to achieve self-sufficiency in flours. " The Bento Gonçalves Mill has an installed capacity of 1,300 tons of wheat/24h, which corresponds to the production of 30000 tons of flour and 9000 tons of wheat bran per month. ? Inaugurated after four years of construction, the equipment in Bento Gonçalves joins the structures of Natal (RN), Salvador (BA), Cabedelo (PB), Eusébio (CE) and Rolândia (PR). The first of this nature, the mill Dias Branco, in Fortaleza, began operation in 1992. In addition to producing raw material for the pasta and biscuits of the factory in Bento Gonçalves, the mill will allow the company to advance in the distribution of flours. M.
