Heineken Partners With Chinese Brewery

The Dutch brewery Heineken announces today (03) partnered with the China Resources Beer Holdings, China's Brewery. Under the agreement, Heineken will assume a 20.67% stake in China Resources Beer Holdings for $ $3.1 billion, while selling its business in China to the brewery for about $ $305 million. The Chinese company will license the Dutch brand in the domestic market and acquire a stake of 0.9% in the European Brewery for about $ $538 million. The agreement with the Chinese brewery, must give Heineken access to an extensive distribution network.
