More than 63 million consumers are delinquent

The first half ends with a troubling number: 63.6 million Brazilians are with the CPF restricted due to debts. With that, the delay in the payment of bills reaches 42% of the brazilian population. The data were calculated by the SPC Brazil (credit protection service) and the CNDL (National Confederation of store managers).
Last month, the volume of customers with accounts in arrears and recorded in registers of borrowers grew 4.07% in comparison with June last year. On average, each Brazilian defaulter has two debts.
The survey shows widespread high in volume of defaulted in all regions of the country. The sharper occurred in the Southeast, whose growth was 9.88% in June compared to the same period last year. Second place went to the northeastern region, which presented high of 4.81% in quantity to borrowers. The changes also were positive in the Midwest (2.82%), South (2.13%) and North (2.02%).
