AmBev launches water and roll back 100% of profit to take access to safe drinking water to the population of the Brazilian semi-arid region

Water called LOVE is an innovation in the national beverage market. Thanks to product, three cities in the interior of Ceará begin to receive drinking water in 22/03 day, world water day.

This is a unique innovation in the Brazilian market because, when someone buys a bottle of LOVE, 100% of the profit goes to projects that help who else needs water ", says Bernardo Paiva, President of Ambev. "The AMA is the perfect translation of our big dream, to bring people together for a better world," adds Bernard.
Three communities that gather together about of 3000 people in the interior of Ceará, state that currently suffers from the drought in Brazil, will inaugurate projects of access to drinking water on Wednesday, world water day. The communities are in the cities of Bebedouro, Jaguaruana and Capistrano. All of them are located in rural areas of severe water shortages.
The projects received investments from the AMA to give progress the local initiatives. The funds invested by the brewery made works for drilling of water wells and the installation of micro solar plants that reduce considerably the cost of water distribution. After the projects are opened, they will be managed by the community itself.
The local partner of Ambev, responsible for managing the majority of rural water systems of Ceará and that puts into practice the projects in three communities, is the SISAR-integrated system for Rural sanitation. Technical teams formed by water resource specialists and social workers give these communities the support necessary to ensure that the initiatives are carried out in a sustainable way. The work is recognized by the World Bank as one of the best systems of existing rural water management.
With the support of the Fundación Avina, NGO working for sustainable development in Latin America, Ambev intends to expand the program to all the Brazilian semi-arid region.
