February retail build balance has stable sales

Retail sales of construction materials remained stable in February, compared to January. Already compared to the previous year, the performance was 2% below. Year to date, the retraction was 4%, according to filings with data from Anamaco. By region, the Midwest, the North and the Northeast had growth of 18%, 10% and 4%, respectively. Already the South and the South East recorded -2% retracement and -5%. And in categories, cement was presented more positive result, with growth of 4% in the period, followed by ceramic coatings and inks (2%), sanitary vitreous Chinaware and metal fittings (1%).
