Cargill receives license to expand vegetable oil factory in MS

Cargill Agrícola obtained the environmental license authorizing the expansion of the current flour of soya beans, Bran, soybean oil extraction and implantation of a glycerine refinery, in addition to the Waterway and Rail Branch Terminal, given its maximum production of biodiesel.
The installation license granted by the Institute of Environment of Mato Grosso do Sul (Imasul) was based on technical and environmental studies of the project, in addition to public hearing in Três Lagoas, conducted by Pöyry, Finnish multinational consultancy and engineering services.
Currently Cargill of Três Lagoas has processing capacity of 2,100 tons/day of soya beans, 388 tons/day production of vegetable oil, degummed manufacture of 1,640 tons/day of soybean meal, and producing 700,000 liters/day of biodiesel.
The Cargill plant will have its processing capacity increased to 3,200 tons/day of grains (break/peeling, conditioning and extraction of soybean oil). Already the glycerine refinery is sized pair
