PGI-10 slows down 0.52% high in may by relief in the wholesale and retail

SAO PAULO (Reuters)-the general price index-10 (PGI-10) recorded high of 0.52 percent in may after show 1.27 percent advance in the previous month with strong deceleration in inflation in both wholesale and retail.
According to the data released on Friday by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), the Broad producer price index-10 (IPA-10), which measures the wholesale prices variation and accounts for 60 percent of the overall index, slowed to high to 0.53 percent, up from 1.45 percent in April.
In the IPA, the prices of agricultural products retreated 1.29 percent in the month, against high of 2.10 percent in April. Among the biggest negative influences, soybeans had falling 4.23 percent in may, after rising 7.40 percent in the previous month.
The consumer price index-10 (IPC-10), which accounts for 30 percent of the overall index, climbed 0.57 percent in may, after advancing 1.01 percent in April.
Among the highlights, group Housing costs went up 0.56 percent this month against high of 2.51 per cent in April. He excelled the residential electricity tariff item, whose high went from 13.83 percent to 0.95 percent.
In turn, the national construction Cost Index-10 (INCC-10) advanced 0.37 percent, compared with 0.69 percent in the previous month.
The PGI-10 calculates the variance in prices among the 11 days of the month preceding and 10 of the reference month.
