Abecs Provides High in the use of cards in 2019

Payments made with credit cards, debit cards and prepaid should grow around 16% in 2019, reaching the level of R $1.8 trillion, according to projections of the Brazilian Association of credit card companies and services (Abecs). The study shows that the purchases of this modality will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2019, a participation of 40% in relation to the volume of household consumption. "The goal of the sector is to achieve the 60% level of representativity in the household consumption up to 2022," says the President of the entity, Pedro Coutinho. In 2018, the segment grew by 14.5% over the previous year.
