Footwear production Has fall of 1.3%

Shoe production in the country fell from 1.3% in 2018, compared with the previous year. The information is from the Brazilian footwear industries Association (Abicalçados). The decrease in manufacturing occurs after the high of 1.9% in 2017. However, the sector seems to recover and, since September, registers growth in production. There were advances of 5.5%, 7.3%, 6.7% and 2.1% in September, October, November and December, respectively-in the monthly comparison with 2017.
