Nestlé Sells Häagen-Dazs Operation

Nestlé will sell its operations in the ice cream segment in the United States. With the value of US$ 4 billion, the transaction includes the Häagen-Dazs brand and will be made to a private equity group. According to the company, the sale will expand the operation of Froneri, a joint venture formed with R&R that will control Häagen-Dazs in the U.S. territory. After the transaction, Froneri will have an annual turnover of approximately 4.5 billion euros, up from 2.7 billion euros last year.
