E-commerce Should Bill R$ 81.3 Billion This Year

E-commerce is expected to end 2019 with revenues of R$ 81.3 billion, an amount that represents an 18% increase in the annual comparison and exceeds the forecast of 16% announced at the beginning of the year. The projection is from the Brazilian Association of E-Commerce (ABComm). Of the total revenue, the marketplace segment should have a 35% stake. Small and medium-sized enterprises account for 29% of the 87,000 virtual stores that exist in the country - last year, the sector had 78,000 platforms. On Black Friday, online earned R$ 3.5 billion, a 20% increase, and for Christmas, the projection is to grow 20% in sales to R$ 11.8 billion.
